A newly formed political party in a Southeast Asian country partnered with FIR to help develop its communications strategy ahead of national elections and position its coalition to successfully challenge an incumbent party that had maintained control of the government for decades.
Operating on the ground alongside in-country colleagues, we conducted an in-depth assessment of the party’s communications capabilities, existing personnel and resources, and the strengths and weaknesses of its political brand.
Based on this information, we provided a detailed framework for the reorganization of campaign management and developed a comprehensive strategic communications plan, focused on utilizing digital media to overcome the unique challenges of a restricted media environment and maximizing the party’s demographic and regional appeal.
